40th Anniversary Service
On behalf of the Trustees of Priscilla Bacon Norfolk Hospice Care, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to a service celebrating the remarkable work of the staff of Priscilla Bacon Lodge over the last forty years and giving thanks for the hospice movement in Norfolk and around the country.
The service will be held in Norwich Cathedral at 7.30pm on Monday 2 December 2019. We are delighted that Baroness Finlay of Llandaff, an eminent professor of palliative medicine, has agreed to deliver the address, and that the Chamber Choir of Norwich Lower School will lead the music. A reception after the service, for which we hope you will also join us, has been generously sponsored by Barratt & Cooke.
In 1979, the people of Norfolk came together and raised funds to build Priscilla Bacon Lodge. Forty years on, we have launched a campaign to raise £12.5 million to build a new hospice – Priscilla Bacon Hospice. The need for this is compelling; Norfolk and Waveney has one of the lowest levels of specialist palliative care provision in the country.
As we reflect, remember and look to the future, please do join us to celebrate this milestone for Priscilla Bacon Lodge and to support our work to improve the availability of hospice care for the community of Norfolk and Waveney. Please do pass this invitation to colleagues, friends and supporters.
