£1000 raised at the Bawburgh Quiz & Chips
What
a delightful event.
Bawburgh
have a very nice Village hall and it was packed to the gunnels for the Quiz
night on February 23rd.
Rupert
and Carolyn (both Volunteers at PBL) had done an amazing job in selling all the
tables and more and in setting it all out so prettily ( thank you Carolyn) I
recognised genius when i see it It was so welcoming when we arrived.
There was a merry band of ladies on reception selling tickets and making sure
we all had our raffle tickets for very delightful prizes, and telling us about
the wonderful monkeys which were to be auctioned later on.
Everyone
really enjoyed the evening and picked out Rupert, who was our compere, for
special praise. He kept up the pace of the evening and also kept
everyone alert, amused and delighted to
spend their money, throwing quips and sometimes little packets of Maltesers as
extra prizes for answering little quizzy questions!! The score was kept by
David Goodman who is part of the Bawburgh Village Hall Committee and kept us in
good order.
The
evening made a wonderful amount and the
Support Group is truly grateful.
It
was a wonderful evening – dare we hope
for a repeat next year!! The amount raised reflects the calibre of the
event and those who organised it.
